      The continuous exodus of rural teachers from the countryside is a painful reality in current rural education. Local attachment is a crucial factor influencing rural teachers' commitment to rural education. Cultivating a strong sense of local attachment among rural teachers can facilitate the high-quality development of rural education and the realization of its modernization. However, the current local attachment of rural teachers is in a state of loss, with issues such as a lack of identification with local culture, weak professional belonging, absence of a sense of mission in local reconstruction, and low self-worth among teachers. To address the loss of local attachment among rural teachers, we should increase policy support and provide more care for them; promote the development of the teaching workforce and enhance the quality of rural teachers; strengthen identity recognition and reshape the status of rural teachers; and adhere to the principle of using culture to educate people and embark on the path of thriving local culture.
