      提升农民幸福水平是农村经济社会发展的根本目的。基于2014—2023年全国30个省份面板数据(不含西藏、港澳台地区)，实证检验数字乡村发展对农民幸福水平的影响及作用机制。研究发现，数字乡村发展能通过提高农业生产效率和促进农村产业升级等作用机制提升农民幸福水平；相对于东部地区，中部、西部地区的影响更显著。对此，应因地制宜加快乡村数字设施改善、产业数字化转型和数字产业化发展，充分释放数字乡村提高农业生产效率、助推农村产业升级的强大动力，以提升农民幸福水平。

英文摘要:

      Enhancing farmer's happiness is the fundamental objective of rural economic and social development. Based on panel data from 30 provincial-level regions in China from 2014 to 2023, excluding Xizang (Tibet), Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan. This study empirically examines the impact of digital village development on farmer's happiness and its underlying mechanisms. The findings reveal that digital village development directly and significantly improves farmer's happiness. Furthermore, it contributes to increased farmer's happiness through specific mechanisms, namely by enhancing agricultural production efficiency and promoting rural industrial upgrading. Compared to the eastern region in China, the impact is more significant in the central and western regions. In response to these findings, it is essential to tailor strategies to local conditions by accelerating the improvement of rural digital infrastructure, promoting the digital transformation of industries, and fostering digital industrialization. This will fully unleash the powerful driving force of digital villages in boosting agricultural production efficiency and upgrading rural industries, thereby enhancing farmer's happiness.
