Beijing is a large consumption city. The demand for agricultural products is not only in food and clothing level, but also in culture and spirit level. There are not only general demand of the ordinary citizens for agriculture, but also multi-functional special demand of the capital city's strategic orientation for agriculture. Since China's reform and opening up, agricultural supply-side structural reform in Beijing has achieved outstanding results, but affected by the deviation between amount and structure of agricultural market supply, the hard constraints of development space, resources, rising production costs, as well as the prominent contradiction between small farmers and big market. To further deepening agricultural supply-side structural reform in Beijing suburbs, it is necessary to focus on the new requirements for agricultural development required by the overall urban planning and the coordinated development strategy of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, identify the proper function of agriculture in Beijing suburbs, rely on science and technology, policies, organizational revitalization, deepen the agricultural market system reform, better play the role of the government, and activate new drivers of agricultural and rural development. |
