Chinese begonia was used as the research material. Propagation experiments were carried out by means of natural sowing, cuttage, plant division, bulbil propagation and so on, among which the seed propagation was carried out by seed germination contrast experiment, in order to find out the suitable propagation methods. The results show that seeding Chinese begonia after soak and germination in normal temperature water is the ideal propagation method, which results in higher germination rate and can be widely used in production. The survival rate( 95%~100% ) is higher in cuttage, plant division, bulbil propagation, but the difference is not significant and the propagation rate is low. After comparing morphological characteristics between original and introduced areas of Chinese begonia, this paper proposes that the species protection, propagation and landscaping of Chinese begonia should be strengthened in the future. |
