Under the background of rural revitalization and agricultural modernization, smallholders are facing unprecedented challenges. The observation on the status of smallholders in Zhangzhou shows that, in the development of modern agriculture, restricted by subjective and objective conditions, smallholders are facing the dilemma such as lacking bargaining and decision-making ability for the big market, laggard application of modern science and technology, unstable interest connection with big capital, and incomplete socialized agricultural service. It is suggested to help smallholders integrate into China's agricultural modernization by strengthening their organization, expanding market channels, enhancing their ability to develop modern agriculture, improving agricultural social service system and broadening agricultural functions. |
