The outbreak of COVID-19 epidemic spread from Wuhan to the whole country has caused a major blow to China's economic and social development. As a fragile part of pan-cultural travel industry, homestay industry faces huge challenges. By questionnaires and other methods, this paper conducts in-depth survey on 585 homestay consumers and 60 homestay practitioners, analyzes changes in homestay consumption before and after the COVID-19 epidemic, recovery of homestay consumers’ confidence, type of homestay preferred by consumers, status quo of homestay enterprises, the main demands of homestay practitioners. Therefore, it puts forward countermeasures and suggestions from six aspects, including marketing guidance, policy support, brand image, product transformation, risk management and business innovation, so as to promote rapid revival and sustainable development of homestay industry. |
