Fumaric acid, an important tetracarbon intermediate compound, has been widely used in
many fields, such as food, pharmaceutical and chemical industries. The production of fumaric acid from
biological fermentation has attracted more and more attention due to its environmental friendliness and
lower cost. This paper mainly summarizes and discusses the development of cheap material exploitation,
selection and breeding of strains, construction of fumaric acid synthetic strains, optimization of key
fermentation factor, separation and recovery of fumaric acid etc, which is expected to provide some
references for other researchers. |
